The Newcastle players reacted like they'd won after the defeat
at Ewood Park; such was their improvement following the heavy
home loss to Liverpool but another nil points spells trouble
for Allardyce and rumours have already surfaced regarding
his possible sacking should the Magpies lose to Arsenal. Newcastle
have won just 5 of their 14 games this season and must take
on a confident Arsenal side that remain unbeaten in the Premier
league and are 3 points clear at the top of the table. The
Gunners were near perfect in the first half at Villa Park
and showed without Fabregas that they have other players (such
as Flamini) that can slot in as required. The Newcastle defence
has proved rather generous in recent weeks and if Arsenal
are in the sort of mood that they were for the first 45 against
Villa, then the Magpies could be undone quite heavily once
again.
