Archived Premiership football betting tips (8th Feb 2006)
Wed 8:00 Charlton v Liverpool

Charlton lost again at Spurs and are slipping further down the table though they have a 10 point gap between themselves and 17th placed Birmingham so shouldn't have to worry about relegation. What they need to worry about though is that they showed virtually nothing in the attacking third and defended poorly in the White Hart Lane defeat. Charlton have lost 6 of their 12 home games so Liverpool should be expected to start favourites. The Reds have lost their last 2 away games, all be it these were to United and Chelsea respectively. Whilst Liverpool will have been disappointed that they haven't got anything from fixtures away to their closest rivals, they should be confident of getting something at the Valley. They have only 4 away wins from 11 but they should take maximum points here.

Away Win 0-1 ..... Best Odds: 4/5 bet365, Coral
